About this project
Christwise is an evidence-based learning app for seekers, Christians, atheists, and agnostics who want to examine the historical, philosophical, scientific, and textual case for Christian faith with rigor and charity.
Intellectual honesty
Objections are steelmanned before being answered. Claims are labeled by confidence.
Sourced claims
Every lesson is traceable to primary texts, scholarly works, and named apologists.
Charitable tone
No dunking on atheists or agnostics. Honest questions are treated as honest questions.
Voices we draw on
C.S. Lewis, Lee Strobel, Stephen Meyer, Wes Huff, Josh & Sean McDowell, J.P. Moreland, Frank Turek, William Lane Craig, Gary Habermas, Michael Licona, John Lennox, and others.
How lessons are built
- Big question and why it matters
- The main case in plain English
- Numbered claims, each with evidence, strongest objection, and response
- Scholarly debate summary
- Reflection questions
- Key sources (primary, scholarly, popular, archaeology)
Confidence levels
Each claim is tagged with one of:
- Widely accepted by historians or the relevant field.
- Majority scholarly position.
- Debated, with serious voices on both sides.
- Minority apologetics view.
- Speculative, marked as such when used.
